Who's Joe?

Joe is short for 'Joe Bloggs', 'Joe Public' and even 'Average Joe' but there's nothing average about him. ('He' may even be a 'she'.) Joe's your customer - one of many, hopefully! The question is, how well do you know Joe and, more importantly, how well can you talk to him?

Joe's only little but he's extremely powerful: individual consumers now have more technical knowhow, more tools at their disposal and more choice over what and how they consume than ever before. They're used to having the information and entertainment they need wherever they need it, online, on their TV and on their mobile.

The world of multimedia is a fast-moving environment and no one can predict for definite what the commercial models and mass market technologies will be in the future, but one thing is for sure: it will be the customer who defines it.

It stands to reason that companies who can engage and involve their customers through these new communication channels will be more popular than those who don't.
